Nudea E-Commerce Photoshoot – Winter 2022
My Roles: Photoshoot Manager, Creative Direction Assistant, Retouching
Nudea needed a new set of e-commerce images to support new product launches, and it was the first photoshoot I managed myself from start to finish. We were launching into a whole new sector of product – Sleepwear – which meant that we needed images to support social media, PR and marketing. This meant curating some poses that weren’t traditional e-commerce and were more engaging to our audience.
Photoshoot Manager: I liaised with and booked the photographer, models, studio and hair and makeup artists, as well as organising a shot list to plan out the day. On set, I kept time, changed the models into their next looks and kept the whole day running smoothly.
Creative Direction Assistant: I created a pose library for the models and photographer to follow on the shoot day, as well as casting the models. In post-production, I chose all image selects and retouched all images for use on the website and social media.
Retouching: At Nudea, the retouching was relatively minimal to keep the images relatable to our audience. Hair flyaways, spots and bruises were photoshopped out, but no other changes to the body were made. Due to the nature of the sleepwear fabric, I had to manage creases on the garments. Nudea sells their items on marketplaces such as John Lewis and Zalando, which means the background needed to be lightened to fit with their requirements. See my Retouching project for further details.
